Carers Support
At The Dementia Care Hub, we place equal value on supporting everyone within an individual’s circle of care – from spouses and partners to children, friends and neighbours. If you are supporting someone to navigate their dementia journey, we are here for you.
Our monthly in-person Carers Cuppa groups provide an opportunity to meet with others in the same, or similar, situations and to provide support for one another through advice and problem-solving in a safe and confidential setting.
Carers’ Cuppa groups are led by Fiona Chaâbane, a clinical nurse specialist in dementia in the NHS, consultant Admiral nurse, and trustee of The Dementia Care Hub. They are also supported by Emma Golby-Kirk, director of the charity, and the local hub staff team.
The sessions are a closed space for carers only. We appreciate this can be difficult for some people to manage, and so we also offer monthly Carers Online sessions which are accessible by Zoom link.
