We are recruiting!
We are looking for a compassionate, motivated, and organised Hub Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of our Dementia Care Hub in Hythe and Waterside.

This is a highly rewarding, people-focused role where you will support individuals living with dementia and their carers—helping to ensure that no one has to face dementia alone.
​
As the Hub Manager, you will lead a team of wellbeing facilitators and volunteers to deliver person-centred care and meaningful experiences for members. You will work closely with the Totton and Calmore Hub Manager and deliver a range of wellbeing activities, including a weekly social group for anyone living with or affected by dementia, and wellbeing activity days providing respite care for people living with dementia.

About you
This is a highly relational role where your personal qualities matter most. We will support your development in dementia care and provide relevant training.
​
Experience
Some knowledge or experience of dementia care (professional, voluntary, or personal). Previous management or supervisory experience (any sector).

Volunteer Opportunities
We are always pleased to welcome volunteers with an interest in supporting people with dementia and their carers. No special experience is required. We are looking for compassionate people with a positive attitude. We will help and support you to achieve your volunteering goals – whether you want to gain valuable work experience or make new friends and help in your community.
Our volunteers are vital members of our support community, and help deliver weekly social groups, or wellbeing activity days in all of our hub locations.
Typical volunteering activities include:

Weekly social group helper:

Setting up activity sessions

Helping make hot drinks and serve refreshments

Chatting with people with dementia and their carers

Playing board games and other activities
-
Helping tidy up and clearing away
Wellbeing activity day helper:
-
Setting up and clearing away
-
Helping with refreshments and meal preparation
-
Supporting the delivery of planned activities – board games, jig saws, gentle sports, music, arts, crafts etc

Working in a team to ensure our members are supported socially and emotionally throughout the session
We are also always keen to hear from people who want to support us in other ways. For example, helping to fundraise or source raffle prizes.
